This
temple is located on Coimbatore - Pollachi road 11 kms from Kinathukadavu.
The Maha Kumbabhishekam of this temple was performed in February, 2000.
This temple was built during the Chola regime. The Sthala puranam states
that the deity in this temple was worshipped by 'Lord Brahmma', 'Lord
Indra', 'Lord Suriya' and 'Lord Rama' along with 40 devotees and Pathanjali
Munivar. It is also believed that 'Lord Muruga' got 'Mandhira Upadhesam'
here.
