Arulmigu ValaiThotta Ayyan Thirukoil - Ayyanpalayam

This temple is located at Ayyanpalayam 30 kms from Coimbatore . This temple is 146 years old now.

A banana cultivator 'Sri Chinnaiyan', a great devotee of 'Lord Shiva' was residing at Kalipalayam, near Ayyanpalayam. He reached Vaikundam with the help of Nandi Devar. One night he appeared in the dream of one of his farm men and directed him to Noyal river side where Suyambu Lingam and Nandi statue were hidden and asked him to shift it to his farm and build a temple there.

It is beleived that many diseases like Chicken pox, Small pox and even snake bites are cured here.
