This
temple is located 20 kms. from Coimbatore towards Siruvani.
This temple is in one of the five hills of historic importance. The
five hills symbolically represents the five different faces of 'Lord
Shiva'. The uniqueness of this temple is that only here PanchaLinga
can be seen.
According to the sthalapuranam, 'Lord Brahma' got 'Shiva Dharisanam' when he was meditating at the Himalayas. He was guided to continue his meditation in the name of 'Pattimuni' at Perur. On 'Lord Brahma' continuing his meditation, 'Lord Shiva' and 'Umaimmai' were pleased and performed 'Ananda Nadanam' at Perur.
